WORK
Guided by a strong instinct for color and structures, and by the tactile qualities of his artistic medium, his objects exude a captivating physical presence.
His approach is an exploration of the suggestive power of words, signs and symbols, informed by the inexplicable and intuitive.
Employing centuries-old production techniques of rug-weaving, his practice encompasses an investigation of sensory perception and physicality, through the juxtaposition of highly symbolic natural fibers with innovative technical materials that possess special optical properties.
His body of work comprises mid-sized wall hangings as well as room-filling objects with a pronounced sculptural presence, frequently defying conventional notions of usability and artistic genre.
